A modern take on a barn that needed a hardy native garden for the dryer part of central Victoria. The large sandstone rocks were dug out of site during the excavation works for the footings of the building and were used to help level out this sloping block. With large slabs of sandstone used to make a grand staircase entrance. The central courtyard has a modest pool and bespoke curved pool fence and simple step stones laid in an ashlar pattern to replicate the paving. Planted with a mass of Dichondra repens between the step stones many native grasses and two Cercis Canadensis feature trees for that pop of colour.
